Indiana Buddhist Temple celebrates Sinhala and Hindu New Year

Indiana Buddhist Temple in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA will be holding Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations at the temple premises on Saturday, April 17.

The Sri Lankan community in Indiana and neighboring states will attend the celebrations. The New Year festivities will begin with the Buddha Pooja at 10:30 a.m. followed by the traditional ritual of anointing oil.

The Sri Lankan Community in Indiana, is going to celebrate their most valued, National and cultural event of the year, “Sinhala and Hindu New Year” together with the friends like you. This is going to be a memorable intercultural experience for everyone.

The participants will be treated to a lunch complete with all the Sri Lankan delicacies. The afternoon is set aside to play the traditional Sri Lankan games. The event will conclude by 6:00 p.m.
