JOURNEE DES DROITS DE L’HOMME
Le Comité d’organisation de la journée des Droits de l’Homme (COJODH) a réuni les différentes Communautés asiatiques qui incarnent en France les causes et les luttes politiques pour la liberté, la démocratie et les droits de l’Homme s’exprimant, au péril de la vie, dans leur propre pays d’origine. S’est joint le Comité pour le boycotte des Jeux olympique de Pékin 2008 ( COBOP) qui estime que la France, berceau des droits de l’Homme, a le devoir de soutenir les populations opprimées par des dictatures.
Cette journée avait pour but de porter à la connaissance des instances internationales et du gouvernement français les atrocités et les violations massives et systématiques des droits de l’homme commises par des autocrates dictatoriaux souvent déguisés en régimes communistes asiatiques sous l’instigation ou avec l’appui du Parti communiste chinois (PCC).
Par cette manifestation, la Communauté internationale était interpellée au sujet de ses responsabilités dans le processus de démocratisation de tous ces pays terrorisés par des régimes dictatoriaux.
Cette manifestation, qui a eu lieu place du Trocadéro, a été lancé par le COJODH soutenu par les Communautés cambodgienne, birmane, laotienne, tibétaine, vietnamienne, et par la Coalition d’investigation de la persécution du Falun Gong (CIPFG) et le Comité pour le boycotte des J.O. de Pékin 2008 (COBOP)
Les tibétains se joignent aux autres nations asiatiques pour célébrer la journée des Droits de l’Homme.

Thupten Gyatso, le président de la communauté tibétaine de France présente cette journée des Droits de l’Homme.
Paris, December 9 – On a wet, cold day, Tibetans joined hundreds of people from Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Falung Gong practitioners, dissident Chinese, and French organisation COBOP (which stands for boycotting Beijing Olympics) to commemorate the 59th Human Rights Day here in Paris today. The rally was organised by Comité d’organisation de la journée des Droits de l’Homme (COJODH) or the Steering Committee for Human Rights Day.
The Asian communities came together to spread awareness about « the atrocities and the massive and systematic violations of the humans rights by dictatorial autocrats in Asia, under the instigation or with the support of the Communist Party of China ».

weapons to repress its people. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been murdered in the past eight years. The Chinese authorities, together with the Vietnam Communist Party have suppressed its people for more than half a century », said the organisation in its press release.
The Organisation called on the international community about its responsibilities in the process of democratization of all these Asian countries terrorised by dictatorial regimes.
The day also saw cultural presentation by various communities and ended with short video presentation and a candle light vigil.
There will be a panel discussion and debate on the subject next Sunday.
