Young Chinese artist acknowledges Buddhism philanthropy with his talent

He is young, just 24 years old but his talent exceeds beyond his young age.

Tian Qi, a talented Chinese artist has proved himself an eminent artist acknowledging Buddhism philanthropy through his remarkable paintings in Buddhism theme.

Tian, who has recently set on a Asia tour exhibiting Buddhism paintings, aims to the truth of the philanthropy, love, peace and harmony across the region.

Nevertheless, he has chose Nepal as a first destination of his Asia tour of conveying Buddhism philosophy. A single day solo exhibition of paintings by Tian held here in capital Kathmandu on Tuesday to promote the Buddhist culture and strengthen Nepal-China cultural relations.

When asked why did he select Nepal as first destination of Asia tour, Tian said “Since, Buddha (Shakya Muni) was born in Lumbini, Nepal and my creation also belong to Buddhism philosophy, so Nepal is my first choice to begin.”

Talking to Xinhua during the opening of Sino-Nepal Buddhism Cultural Communication Exhibition, Tian said that he has so many ideas from Buddhism philosophy that arouse interest in him to paint Buddhism philosophy in his paintings. “I want to express ideals of Buddhism about peace, love, harmony and charity,” Tian said.

The paintings exhibition in Nepal was jointly inaugurated by Nepali Minister for Information and Communication Shanker Pokhrel, Nepali ambassador to China Tanka Karki, Chinese ambassador to Nepal Qiu Guohong in a traditional Chinese way by cutting the red ribbon.

During a single day exhibition in Nepal Art Council, sponsored by China Oriental Coinfamily Cultural and Art Academe, 30 paintings were exhibited out of which 10 paintings were about Buddhism.

Young artist Tian has been termed as an envoy of Chinese Quintessence connecting the world with his paintings in the theme of Buddhism.

In addition to this, Bikshu Aswaghosh, senior monk attributed that paintings of Shakya Muni created by Tian are universal language which will help to promote Buddhism internationally.

Agreeing with senior monk Aswaghosh, Tian said “As I am deeply influenced by Buddhism philosophy, I’m not intending to promote my skill and creativity. Importantly, I want to promote Buddhism philosophy.”

Tian who has been approved as an envoy of traditional Chinese art and culture, wishes to bring essence of Chinese cultural art to the rest of the world. “In my lifetime, I want to promote the essence of traditional Chinese art and culture to the rest of the world because all traditional art are in danger in this modern days,” Tian said.

In his future, Tian wants to teach the essence of traditional Chinese arts and paintings to young boys and girls. He also wish to be engaged as a means of extending Chinese cultural friendship, peace and harmony to the world.

During the opening of his paintings exhibition in Kathmandu, Tian painted Nepali national Anthem in Chinese calligraphy which gave immense pleasure to the all Nepalese viewers including minister and ambassador.

“When I was painting calligraphy about Nepali national song, I was thinking that this is the step to construct bridge between Nepal and China to intensify bilateral culture and arts communication,” Tian said.

Chinese Ambassador Hong said, β€œHe is one of the finest painters of China. We hope this exhibition will help strengthen the historical relations between our countries.” Minister Pokharel also appreciated the talent of the Chinese artist and thanked him for holding the exhibition in Nepal.
