The Rev. Tetsuo Unno will conduct a mini-seminar from 9 a.m. to noon in English and from 1 to 3 p.m. in Japanese, on April 10 at the Oxnard Buddhist Temple, 250 South H St.
Unno will be lecturing on Jodo Shinshu. A question-answer discussion period will follow. Refreshments will be served.
Unno is the second son of the late Rev. Enryo Unno. His older brother and nephew are ordained Jodo Shinshu ministers and well-know in Buddhist circles.
He studied at UC Berkeley, Ryukoku University (Kyoto), Tokyo University and UCLA. He served as minister at the Buddhist Temples of Seattle and Los Angeles. Unno has taught religious studies at Cal State Northridge and Long Beach.
The event is open to the public and free.
