The announcement of the potential charges against Liu Xiaobo, an activist for Human Rights and ex-leader of the Tiananmen demonstrations launched many reactions around the world. This situation led Beijing to ask for non-interference in its inner affairs today.
The destiny of Liu Xiaobo is an essential preoccupation lately for the international diplomacy. Xiaobo, who is a fervent activist for more human rights in China, was arrested in December as he protested for more freedom in his country for the 60th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights.

Last month Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the US House of Representatives, asked solemnly for his liberation without any counditions ina letter for the Chinese President, Hu Jintao. She designed him as a prisoner of consciousness. The EU also called for his liberation.
Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are particularly worried about Xiaobo’s coundition. The former declared it was a true scandal Liu was jailed because he simply expressed his thoughts while the later is concerned about his current living counditions and the fact his localisation is still unknown.
Yang Jiechi, minister of foreign policy, denounced the intrusions of western diplomats in Chinese inner affairs today. Still China is facing a significative pressure from foreign countries on this issue.
