June 2nd is the 49th day of 7.1-magnitude earthquake that hit Yushu on April 14. Hangzhou Lingyin Temple held prayer ritual for about 2,700 victims killed in the earthquake.
Hangzhou Lingyin Temple is a Buddhist temple of the Chan sect located in north-west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province of China. The name of the temple can be translated as “Temple of the Soul’s Retreat”. It is one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China, and contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes.
