The Sōtō Zen Center of Geneva was founded in 1997 by the Rd J.Y. Pierre Gerard Kakudō [disciple of Kosen Nishiyama Roshi Abbot of Daimanji – Japan] to offer Zen practice and teaching in an urban environment.
It is located in Carouge, a small suburb of Geneva City, away from financial centers, near the University of Geneva on the way to Compostela. The Sōtō Zen Center of Geneva is not residential but they hope you’ll find them warm and welcoming.
Directed by the Rd J.Y. PIERRE GERARD Kakudō, the center offers talks, workshops, sessions of Zazen, Sesshin, and Recital.
The Center is also linked to the Soto Zen Swiss Assoication.
