The oral transmission accompanying this translation, given by the Venerable Geshey Ngawang Kyenrab at the Alexandra David Neel Foundation during the Spring of 1979, is based on two Tibetan commentaries : “The Elucidation of Sense”, by Jetsun Rendawa (1349-1412) and “The Complete Clarification of the Superior’s Thought”, by Lobsang Jinpa, a monk from the Gelug tradition.
