It can be hard for parents to find interesting and intelligent activities for their children during the summer break. But let children play videogames or watch TV is not a good solution for their blossoming and health. Here are some pieces of advice to entertain your kids.

Kids in a summer camp

First of all, sports and outside activities. WIth sunny and warm afternoons, it’s the perfect time of the year to practice a sport. In fact, many clubs or organisations offer special sessions during the season. It’s a good opportunity for curious children to discover a new sport. Summer camps can also be an excellent way to distract children, by meeting new friends and practising many differnet activities : sailing, cycling, climbing…

An other trick: manual activities. They are perfect to stimulate creativity. Painting, pottery… Many websites are dedicated to these activities, and offer easy techniques for kids to realise small and useful things, such as pencils ‘ pots, origami foldings.

Think green : try to raise your child awareness to environmental issues by offering him to make manual activities with old stuff: food packages, plastic bags.

Even if summer days are often sunny, kids also need activities when it rains. Rainy days can be the occasion to open their minds by visiting a museum with them. Some of them are specially dedicated to them. Otherwise, you can show them antiques or dinosaures, depending on their tastes.

Big studios often offer films for a young audience during summer. SO cinema can also be an interesting activity for kids. >The main thing is not to let them get bored and to be sure that your children practise exercise for their health.

You can also try to make them eat healthier during this time of the year, with the many fruits and vegetables that this season brings us.
