The teachings of Gautama Buddha
Some of the fundamentals of the teachings of Gautama Buddha are:
The Four Noble Truths:
- That suffering is an inherent part of existence
- That the origin of suffering is attachment and craving
- That suffering can be stopped
- The path leading to the end of suffering is the middle way
The Noble Eightfold Path:
- right understanding,
- right thought,
- right speech,
- right action,
- right livelihood,
- right effort,
- right mindfulness,
- and right concentration.
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
The mind is everything. What we think we become. “
Buddha
“All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions.
Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else. “
Buddha
