Revelers celebrate the Lao New Year on Sunday at the Wat Lao Buddhist temple in Kennewick. The two-day celebration began Saturday with a pageant and continued Sunday with a religious service, chanting prayers and a parade. People began splashing water on each other as a sign of good luck and soon the splashing turned into a lively water fight.
